to support products for small and medium businesses. A complete list of those products as

- What's involved in the Qwest
Referral Program?
The Qwest Referral Program allows you and your Sub-Agents to
efficiently position Qwest voice and data solutions* with your small- and
medium-sized customers, or larger customers looking for low-end products,
and earn compensation on closed sales resulting from warm referral leads
provided to Qwest. When you or your Sub-Agents refer a lead, Qwest will
follow up to assess the level of interest in Qwest services. The program minimizes your back-end paperwork, procedures and
follow up, and increases payment cycles.
- How does the Qwest Referral
Program affect the current agreement with my Sub-Agents?
The Qwest Referral Program provides an additional, optional service
to Master Partners and their Sub-Agents and is fully integrated with the
existing QBPP program. We encourage you to discuss the Referral Program
with your Sub-Agents.
- How can I opt out of the Qwest
Referral Program?
If you choose not to participate in the program, simply indicate NO
on the Participation Form
and submit it to partners@qwest.com. Please
note that Sub-Agents whose Master Partner
opts out of the Qwest Referral Program will be ineligible to register.
- If I originally opt to
participate in the program, may I decide at a later date to not
participate?
Yes. To change your participation election, simply follow the
process outlined in the Participation Form. Your sub-agents will be
notified of your change in participation when they attempt to submit a
lead on the www.qwestreferral.com web site.
- How does participation in the
program affect compensation?
The Qwest Referral Program provides an
efficient, integrated approach to sales of Qwest products and solutions
and leaves you more time to focus on broadening your customer base and
expanding your revenue opportunities. Please see below for participation
options and corresponding compensation.
a) If your Sub-Agents participate in the program and submit the
lead
For every lead referred to Qwest that results in a completed, closed
sale, your Sub-Agents will receive a referral fee based on the business
product(s) sold. You, as the sub-agent's master partner, will receive the
usual QBPP compensation for the sale as well as compensation on the
referral fee. No CSR or other forms are required.
b) If you choose to opt out of the
program
The customary QBPP sales guidelines and compensation apply.
- What kind of
referrals do you accept?
The program accepts referrals that range anywhere from “warm” through
“closed.” A warm referral is defined as
one where your sales agent has spoken with the customer about certain product
offerings and the customer is interested in making a change. The customer is expecting either your sales
agent or a Qwest representative to follow up with them. A closed referral is one where the customer
has made a firm decision to purchase the product(s) offered. The program also accepts leads for existing
Qwest customers adding new services, customers starting a business for the
first time and customers who used to be with Qwest and wish to return
(winbacks).

- What are the limitations/what

The
Referral Program cannot accept referrals for:
Conversions: Even if they are adding new

referrals for Qwest Choice. However, the
conversion to Qwest Choice must (1) include new service such as more lines, DSL
or LD and (2) the referral must result in an increase in revenue.
Note: Incentives paid on conversions will be for
the new business only. No payout
will be made for the existing business that was converted.
Contract Renewals: These are not handled by the
Referral Program and should instead be submitted using the existing process.
Channel Integration: This includes any referral for
Government and Education. All Government
and Education sales must engage the Channel Integration process.
Note: An order that is channel integrated and
submitted to the Referral Program will, once sold, result in the Partner not
receiving any compensation for that order.
